Player Roles

Overview

Pillage Mode is a multiplayer feature in "Captain & Company" where players engage in naval combat to seize loot from opposing ships. This mode supports up to 128 players, combining player vs environment (PvE) and player vs player (PvP) elements. Pirates battle monsters, NPC ships, and other players for rewards.

Gameplay Mechanics

Roles: Players can be a Captain, leading the ship, or part of a Company, aiding in combat.
Combat: Involves dynamic sea battles where sinking an enemy ship lets the victor claim the crew's collected rewards.

Strategic Elements

Game Lobbies and Parties: Join public lobbies or create private parties for strategic gameplay.
Targeting: Ships with a Green Beacon carry significant loot, becoming prime targets.
Boss Encounters: Bosses offer large loot but attract intense competition.
Refinery Stations: Located on the map's edge, these convert materials into beneficial assets.
Community and Social Play: Cross-platform play fosters a vibrant community.

Risks and Rewards

Sinking: Losing 70% of your loot upon sinking emphasizes the need for repairs and strategic extraction.

Joining Pillage Mode

You may join the game by running over to the middle of the docks, between the bar and the ship dock on the left hand side. Inside the shack, there is a door and two options. Select Pillage and it brings up this menu.

Once you have completed that, you can click JOIN, and either join Open Queue, which will pair you with someone in the game randomly, Create a Private Party, where you will start your own crew, or Join Crew with Match Code at the bottom of the screen.

Be sure that you choose your cannons wisely, as you cannot choose them again until you have extracted and start a new lobby.

Extracting your Loot

The extraction beacon is red and is shown on the compass around your profile picture in the top left. The arrow will point you in the direction of the extraction beacon. For a tip, extract whenever your health is low, or you have a lot of loot!

Rewards

At the time, you can loot Nuggies, mBlast, doubloons, blueprints, crystals, airdrop points and resources (cloth, lumber, ores). For more information on the drop rates, check out Loot Tables.
