Staking
Overview
Captain & Company provides rewards for users that provide liquidity to WETH-KAP pools. The current rewards for staking are AP and Nuggies.
Currently, single-sided ETH and USDB pairs are eligible for rewards, but will be discontinued.
Users can create a position on Thruster and stake it on Hyperlock themselves to receive rewards, or use the tool at kap.gg/staking (which will create and stake a position for the user)
Instructions
Click the link and change the drop-down in the top right from V3 to V2, then select kap and eth to stake as a pair. It will look something like the below-right if done correctly:
After staking on thruster, go to Hyperlock to stake the liquidity pool tokens. The kap.gg/staking portal will recognize the liquidity and reward the wallet appropriately.
Kap/weth liquidity positions on Thruster will accrue fees, Hyperlock Points, Thruster Points, and any Blast Points or Blast Gold assigned by Hyperlock or Thruster, in addition to yielding nuggies.
Coming soon: Fenix
NOT RECOMMENDED
You may go to kap.gg/staking and zap eth or blast into the liquidity pool. This automatically sells eth at the correct amount to provide the maximum kap/eth liquidity for the given deposit. This is not recommended because, especially for larger amounts, the staker will not get the maximum amount of kap given that there are multiple pools. It is better to buy kap from all pools in chunks to prevent automated arbitrage bots from profiting off your purchase.
Details
The rates for each will be pegged to the floating native yield on USDB and WETH, with large bonuses for KAP-WETH LPs. As of launch, ETH currently yields 4.75% and USDB currently yields 11.43% on Blast. Thus, the rates as of launch were:
$1 ETH = 1.43 nuggies/day
$1 USDB = 3.44 nuggies/day (+140% bonus)
$1 KAP-WETH = 15.73 nuggies/day (+1,000% bonus)
Note that as these native yield rates fluctuate over time, they will be adjusted commensurately. After the release of [REDACTED], certain bonuses may be reintroduced, changed, or otherwise swapped.
